6 Days Queen-Bwindi & Lake Mburo safari
This 6 Days Queen-Bwindi & Lake Mburo safari: will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park which is a home to various mammals like the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector and also offers visitors a chance to watch high concentrations of water animals like elephants, hippos, bird watching along a launch cruise on the Kazinga. Thereafter will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your gorilla trekking, where you also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the baboons, red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys among others. Later you will conclude with Lake Mburo National Park for the game drive and nature walks.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart from Entebbe/Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris who will brief you about the journey and thereafter you will embark on the 6 hours journey Southwest wards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way you will have few stopovers at the Equator, here you will have refreshments and also take some photographs. Later you will have another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Thereafter you will proceed to the park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized with open grasslands, tea plantations, Ankole long horned cattle, the Rift valley Escarpment and various woodlands. You will reach the park in late afternoon and have a game drive as you drive to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking – Boat cruise
After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing then after head to Kyambura gorge to track Chimpanzees and other primates. Among the primates you will encounter here are Chimpanzee, baboons and monkeys. After lunch, you will go for a 3-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also be able to spot out different species of birds such as the shoebill, herons and kingfishers at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 3: Game drive – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will have a game drive within the Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions, buffalos, leopards, elephants, and sight at different bird species. From here you will proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening. You will check in, dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla trekking
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about do’s and don’ts while trekking in the park, here you will also be divided in a group of 8 individuals and after you will start off your gorilla trekking guided by the park rangers. This is a memorable and an amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around and also do their day-to-day activities. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates and once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. Later, you will return to your lodge and in the evening, you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture basing on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You will have breakfast and later set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the evening game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others and later, relax at your lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Nature walks – Transfers to Kampala
Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter, Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others. Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond and from this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for checkout and then hit the road to catch up your flight/Kampala to your hotel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SAFARI
- Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits should be paid in advance through our Company or Uganda Wildlife Authority.
- Proof of Yellow fever vaccination.
- Good physical, fit health and mental condition.
- Uganda Visa which can be got on arrival at the Airport.
- Travelers must be at least 15 years old on the day of the trekking.
- Travel & Health insurance arranged from your home Country.
- Hiking shoes.

Transport
Standard 4X4 Safari Vans/Land cruisers
Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari van and Land cruisers with open roof tops customized for game viewing and photography. Each Safari van/Land cruiser comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. Each client is entitled to a window seat and can take up to 8-10 people. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up 6 people with their luggage also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
