DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Travel to Jinja City

After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked by one of our respective/guide from your hotel who will brief you about the safari. We shall then drive to Jinja South-Eastern Uganda, stopover at Mabira forest, walking underneath this canopy of this great African tropical rainforest; you will also see different species of monkeys and birds. We shall then proceed to Ssezibwa falls for the cultural tour then after we shall embark on our journey to Jinja town where you will you be driven to Jinja town for lunch, once the industrial capital of Uganda but today a residential town filled with numerous Indian-styled old structures. Overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 2: Source of the Nile – Transfer to Kapchorwa

After breakfast, we shall have a boat ride to the source of the Nile. As you stand on the Nile, you will hear the gurgling water as you watch native fishermen cast their nets on the longest river in Africa. You will then be taken to the actual source of the Nile, and beyond the lake where you will take great pictures for future memories and reference. After the boat ride, you will drive to Mbale town for lunch. Later you will proceed to your lodge and upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Sipi Falls – Hiking

After an early breakfast you will take off on an early morning hike to Sipi Falls where there are 3 main waterfalls you will visit. This hike is well worth the effort as it will provide a great vista of beautiful scenery. After the hike you will come back to the hotel for lunch and then visit the local coffee farms and households. You will learn about the entire process of how coffee moves from the farm to the cup. You have the chance to take part in several scheduled charity activities and then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park – Evening game drive

After breakfast you will check-out and head north to the world renowned Kidepo Valley National Park. There will be a brief stopover to enjoy the scenery along the winding road. You will stop for a hot lunch and then continue on to Kidepo Valley National Park; passing through Soroti Town and Kaabong. Bordered on both sides by mountains, Kidepo Valley National Park offers an abundance of wildlife especially big cats, buffalo, ostriche, zebra, and a variety of birds. You will check-in at the lodge and then go on an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and your overnight.

Day 5 : Kidepo Valley National Park – Morning game drive

You will rise very early for a sunrise game drive where you will catch the wildlife when they are most active. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then embark on a long game drive where you will spot lions, cheetah, ostrich, zebra, giraffe, elephant, and buffalo. Birding is also another activity available since the park has hundreds of bird species.  You will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the local tribes of the Dodoth and Karamojong; nomadic pastoralists who are almost unaffected by civilization and who live in their traditional lifestyles. You will experience their lifestyle firsthand and also watch some traditional dancing. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and then settle in for the night.

• Kidepo Rest Camp (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 6: Murchison Falls National Park-Evening game drive

After an early breakfast you will check-out and hit the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover in Gulu Town for lunch and then continue on to the park; entering through the Tangi Gate.  You will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to see different animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and more. Later you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Murchison game drive-Nile Boat cruise

On this day, you will have a tasty breakfast and set out for a game drive. The tour guide will lead you to the finest places to easily see the animals. You will certainly enjoy Uganda’s true wilderness as you will be taking the best pictures that will be unforgettable on this safari. The thrill will be seeing lions, lioness plus their cubs together with other wild animals such as elephants plus giraffes moving, buffaloes and antelopes grazing in the savannah. Later you will head back to your lodge for a delicious lunch and some rest as you prepare for the afternoon Nile boat cruise. On the boat you will have a great time on the Victoria Nile, the boat takes you to the bottom of the falls. You will observe various animals like elephants, crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, buffaloes, water bucks and also birds such as the storks, fish eagle among others. While at the bottom of the falls you will have a great time watching the magnificent waterfalls. Return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 8:  Travel back to Kampala

After breakfast you will check-out and begin your drive back to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home or at your designated hotel. This is where your safari will end.

Standard 4X4 Safari Vans/Land cruisers

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari van and Land cruisers with open roof tops customized for game viewing and photography.  Each Safari van/Land cruiser comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. Each client is entitled to a window seat and can take up to 8-10 people. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up 6 people with their luggage also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
